There was a time when I never imagined calling myself a writer—let alone writing and illustrating my own book. But life has a way of leading us exactly where we need to be, even if we don’t see the path right away.

For years, I lived in a world of deadlines, marketing strategies, and corporate hustle—climbing my way from graphic designer to operations and marketing director for brands like Pepsi, Coke, and G Fuel. It was fast-paced, exciting, and, for a while, it felt like success.

Then came motherhood. Then came postpartum depression. Then came the unraveling.

I found myself in a space I had never been before—one where the measures of success weren’t promotions or numbers, but simply making it through the day. Staying home with my three children, I began to rebuild myself in a new way.

Creativity became my lifeline. I wrote. I painted. I created. Not for a job, not for a brand, but for me.

And in the quiet moments of healing, a story was born.

A Story of Holding, Healing, and Belonging

The Moon That Holds Us started as whispers in my heart—a love letter to the parts of ourselves that still long to be seen, to be held, to be told, “You belong.” It’s a book about inner child healing, about the deep comfort of love, and about how we can learn to hold ourselves the way we always needed.

I poured myself into every word and illustration, making sure the story felt as gentle and warm as the hands that once held my own. This book is deeply personal, but it’s also for everyone—for anyone who has ever needed a little extra light in their darkness.

More Than a Book—A Full Circle Moment

Writing this book wasn’t just about storytelling. It was about becoming the person I needed when I was younger. It was about turning pain into art, grief into growth, and fear into something beautiful.

And now, as I get ready to release The Moon That Holds Us into the world, I can’t help but reflect on how far I’ve come—from corporate offices to late-night sketching sessions, from marketing campaigns to bedtime stories with my kids, from feeling lost to finding my voice.

My book will be launching sometime in the next week and will be available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and a few other platforms. I will share the link to buy the book when it is live! I hope this book finds you in the moments you need it most.

With love and light,

Britney
